The PMA7000B has been a recent addition to the PMA7000 series, selecting the best feature set from both the PMA7000MS
and PMA7000CD, creating what we think is on of the most versatile audio panel available today.
Removing the rotary mic selector knob in favor of an all push button selector approach, the PMA7000B
provides not only traditional capability of an audio panel, but now adds an interface for any hands free
cellular telephone.
The split mode, pioneered by PS Engineering, is still available, but now uses an intuitive push button
selection. To make operation simpler, Com 1 priority is provided to the pilot, in split mode, with copilot
selection of Com 2 or 3. The audio panel has concentric volume controls, one for Crew intercom volume
and the other for passenger intercom volume. The PMA7000B retains the dual independent music sources.
The PMA7000B is also expandable to accommodate up to 12 places (10 passengers) with the addition of
the 11606 IntelliPax.
The telecommunications distribution in the PMA7000B has also been improved by adding a full-duplex interface
to aviation-standard impedance. This allows distribution of AirCell, Globalstar and Iridium conversations, providing
private telephone calls by the pilot or copilot, or party line calls with the passengers and/or crew, using Com 3. The
unit can easily be configured as either a Com 3 aviation or Com 3 AirCell interface at installation.
The PMA7000B now has four un-switched and un-muted inputs. This adds flexibility when installed with today's
advanced warning systems, like Skywatch or TAWS.
Finally, our Digital Recorder Aural Warning System (DRAWS) is also available. The Digital Recorder is an
electronic continuous loop digital recorder, recording only the radio traffic that the audio panel is selected
to transmit on. The Aural Warning System provide 6 digitally stored messages, alerting the pilot the moment
an event occurs.
